Using the Roman Numerals Converter

Downloading is as easy as clicking the link at the bottom of this page. When you have your file downloaded just click it to open your new document.
You will see 6 pairs of columns that display the Roman numerals, along with their numeric partners side-by-side.

It may look simple, and it is, but the template does more than just show you, it teaches you slowly but surely the rules of converting these two systems.

The numbers 1-99 are displayed in the first few rows and just like the American numeric system, it begins to repeat. For example, simply adding a bar over the numeral increases the value by 1000. So if you want to turn your lowly 10 (X) into 10,000, you would simply add a bar over the X to create 10,000 as a Roman numeral.

The legend at the bottom of the template will also show you what the different colors of the template mean. For example, the ones that are highlighted in purple display basic characters like I (1), V (5), X (10), etc.

Using this template, you can quickly and easily master Roman numerals!
